Sonya Rommel

Sonja Regina Rommel d. April 9, 2017

Born on August 10, 1939, Mom had a beautiful journey filled with good, bad and so much love. For over 61 years her soul mate and best friend Walter Rommel shared in her travels.

After raising four children, Mom and Dad opened their home and hearts to many foster children that needed a family.

Her passion of knitting provided many beautiful articles made with love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her green thumb filled her gardens with colour and life. Our home was always filled with the sounds of many animals, which made it feel like a zoo sometimes.

Left to cherish Sonja’s memories are: Husband Walter; Children Cary (Dave), Kelly, Kelvin (Cathy), Brian (Kaitlyn), Barry. 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Meeting mom with a fresh pot of coffee and a cigarette are her daughters Debbie and Toni. Love you, Mom.
